From Paris: (5 hrs)
Exit Paris on the Autoroute de l'Ouest, at
Orleans, take A71 Motorway to Clermont-Ferrand. Exit
from the A75 motorway, south of Clermont Ferrand, at Exit 20. Follow
the N 102 to Brioude.
From
the Channel ports. (6 - 7 hrs)
Calais, Boulogne: Follow the A 16 motorway to Abbeville, then
the A 28
to Rouen. From Rouen, follow the signs for Evreux (and Paris). Avoid
Paris, but following through Evreux, Dreux and Chartres. Join the Paris
motorway just before Orleans, then follow the A 71 to Clermont-Ferrand.

Lyon (3 hrs) Take motorway to Saint
Etienne, then follow signs for Le Puy. At Le Puy, follow signs for
Clermont Ferrand. After the pass at Fix St Geneys, the road runs
downhill for fiften miles. Turn left, before St. Georges Aurac, for Langeac. Or continue straight along the N 102 for Brioude.
By air ... Clermont Ferrand
